You'll hear from us almost never.
Stakeout watches your competitors' pricing pages and emails you only when a real price or plan change happens - new plan, dropped plan, number moved. Testimonial rotations, cookie banners, and redesigns get filtered out. That's the whole product.
Structural changes, not page changes
Generic page watchers alert on every pixel, so their alerts get ignored - and then the one that mattered is missed. Stakeout reads each page's plans and prices into a structured set, and only a change in that set triggers mail.
- You give us up to 5 pricing pagesYour competitors', in any currency, any layout.
- We watch them continuouslyPages that just changed get rechecked sooner; quiet pages back off automatically.
- Every change is parsed, not diffed as pixelsPlans, prices, billing periods - extracted with deterministic rules. No AI guessing between you and an alert.
- You get one email, only when it's real"Pro changed: $29/mo → $39/mo." Before and after, with a link. Nothing else, ever.
Measured before it was sold. Ahead of taking its first subscriber, the engine ran a week-long production soak on live pricing pages. It absorbed 5,731 cosmetic page changes - rotating testimonials, session tokens, banner swaps - and sent zero alerts, because nothing real changed that week. Zero false positives across a full week of live noise is the bar this product launched against.

Deliberately boring, on purpose
The delivery pipeline is deterministic end to end: scheduled browser fetching, rule-based extraction, structural comparison, one idempotent email per confirmed change. Nothing guesses at prices between the page and your alert.
Stakeout is a sibling product of Squint, sharing the same support inbox - a real, specific answer within one business day at support@squint.page.
Fair questions
How is this different from Visualping or a generic page watcher?
Generic watchers detect that a page changed. Stakeout detects that the pricing changed: it parses each page's plans, prices, and billing periods into a structured set and compares the sets. A testimonial rotation changes the page but not the set, so you hear nothing. The full comparison is at /visualping-alternative/.
What counts as a "real" change?
A plan added or removed, a price raised or cut, a billing period or per-seat structure changed, a plan going free or moving to "contact sales". Copy tweaks, design changes, and rotating content do not qualify.
What if a change is missed, or a false alert slips through?
Reply to any alert (or email support) and say so - every report tunes the extractor, and the corpus of real pricing pages it is tested against grows from exactly this feedback. If the service is not useful, the first 14 days are refundable, no questions asked.
Can I change which pages are watched?
Yes - self-serve: your welcome email carries a private manage link where you add, swap, or remove watched pages any time, up to your plan's five. No support ticket needed (though support@squint.page still answers within one business day).
How quickly are changes detected?
Pages are checked adaptively: a page that changed recently is rechecked within the hour, a long-quiet page settles to a few checks per day. Most pricing changes are detected within hours of going live.
How do I cancel?
Any time, from the Polar receipt in your inbox or by emailing support@squint.page. Cancelling stops future charges; watching continues to the end of the paid period.
